I used about 1/2 cup of oatmeal and 1 egg as the binder. Tam - this is needed to hold all of the yummy ground beef in the characteristic loaf form. otherwise the meatloaf sandwiches made from the leftovers would be all crumbly. Emily - green bean hotdish is not a side dish - that's a stand alone meal. You should know that!!

i don't know, maybe its filled with beef. and no hot dish.
